Welcome to ParentSPED

ParentSPED was created by an educator with nearly two decades of experience working in special education, including Child Find, early intervention, and teaching and supporting students from Pre-K through 12th grade. The work has focused on partnering with families and school teams to help navigate school-based services and supports and to support each child in reaching their full potential.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make educational information easier to understand so families can participate confidently in decisions that affect their children.

How It Works

ParentSPED combines educational resources with artificial intelligence (AI) to provide personalized educational guidance based on the information users choose to share.

Who It's For

The app is designed primarily to support families navigating the United States educational system. Some information may also be helpful in other countries; however, educational laws, procedures, and services vary by location.

ParentSPED is intended to support—not replace—the professional guidance provided by teachers, speech-language pathologists, psychologists, occupational therapists, administrators, attorneys, physicians, or other qualified professionals.
